wiki:
"Beggin'" is the title of a song composed by Bob Gaudio and Peggy Farina and popularized by The Four Seasons in 1967. The second single from the group's New Gold Hits album was produced by Bob Crewe, it reached the #16 position on the Billboard Hot 100 charts as lead singer Frankie Valli's "solo" recording output (with Four Seasons participation) was beginning to take more and more of the group's energy. The Four Seasons' version did not chart in the United Kingdom, where Timebox had a minor hit with the song instead.

In 2007, French musician Pilooski, re-edited and released his version of the song on the 2nd of June. This version reached #32 in the UK and #1 on the UK Dance Chart. It's the first single of the album "Beggin' The Ultimate Collection". The Pilooski re-edit, does not include any new instrumentation or vocals but is purely a manipulation of the original recording made by The Four Seasons, using echo and phase-polarisation.

The same year, the Norwegian hip-hop group Madcon released their version of the song. The version became very popular in Norway, reaching #1 on the charts.[1] Madcons version of the song is a total re-recording, all instruments were performed by the production team 3Elementz, and all vocals by Madcon. The single is 6 times platinum and the highest selling song in Norway in 2007, and has received the "hit of the year" Spellemannprisen award. The song is also popular in Germany, and reached #10 on the charts.

This does not not change the fact that this "ragga" version of Begging is insane, or should i say ridiculous...?

Dear Don Zebra,
Celine Dion, also sells a few records and uses "real instrumentation".
